Thing Three

|

Just a quick post because Youngest Child and I are heading over to Tucson's to catch Mumbo Jumbo Voodoo Combo. The cover is well worth it for the pleasure of seeing my Rosie dance. So, here are a couple of pics of the cotton vest I am designing and knitting for my friend Reva. It is kind of a tumbling blocks pattern, but with just one full repeat done it is a bit hard to see.

Tired of hats? Me neither!

Yesterday my best friend Reva came over and we went outside and had lots of fun taking pictures of - yup - more hats! Really, it's not that I only knit hats. Au contraire, I knit all kinds of things, although baby hats are a favourite bus project. So without further ado, I present...

Hari's Hat
(sshh - it's a surprise)

Hari's Hat - front view-717121

Hari's hat - right side-761600

Hari's Hat - top view-728822

Baby Hari's hat is my own design, made of Lanett Superwash, using a green/blue/red/yellow variegated and a solid orange-red for the diagonal lines. Very fall-ish, I think. Still needs a tassel.

Easter Hat

Easter Hat - front view-716436

Easter Hat - top view-779096

Also done in Lanett Superwash, but without earflaps and with a picot edge. Using three colours on the top was tricky, but it looks good, no?

Last one...

Leafy Summer Hat

Leafy Hat-772105

A lacy, leafy, summer number in Stork cotton (Dale). The top is decorated with short I-cord "vines" finished with tiny leaves.

Emma's Hat

Emma's hat 3_edited-782455

Emma's hat is made of Stork cotton. It works up a little bigger than the Baby Ull or Lanett. Very soft and washes well.
