Lest we forget

remembrance_day_homebr_en.jpg Today in Ottawa 30,000 people attended our National Act of Remembrance. I encourage you to watch the excellent coverage of the event produced by our national broadcasting team at the CBC. I find it remarkable that there is any televised event where the commentators respectfully keep silent for more than 30 minutes and just let the cameras tell the story. Keep a box of tissues handy and don't miss Rabbi Bulka's speech (starts at about the 1 hour mark).

I followed your link and watched, and yes, Rabbi Bulka's speech was incredibly touching... why am I not a Canadian.... next life? you bet.

Good for you Paula. We watched it too, and almost always do.
