Good morning September!

Afternoon tea

Just in time for the cooler weather, I finished my second handspun wrister yesterday. Photos courtesy of youngest child, Rose, because it is difficult to take pictures of your own hands.

And that's not all that got finished.

I even managed to make them all matchy-matchy.

That leaves only one UFO, so I cast on for another Corrugater scarf, this time in Handmaiden 4-ply cashmere. Pictures another day when it has progressed a bit more.

In other news, all the back-to-school shopping got done this week. My favourite purchase was Rose's new shoes. Totally cool Chucks, don't you think?

We also came away from a GIANT CLEARANCE SALE! at Lewiscraft with this,

Orange yarn Orange!

destined to be a hat, scarf, and maybe mitts (NOT for me).

Is that ORANGE! enough for ya Leanne?

HI Paula
Do you sell any of your beautiful products??
If so I would love to order two hats- one for a mountain climbing friend of mine (for her newborn daughter- now 5 months)- and another for my daughter Marieke

yippie - hello fall! I started a pair of knucks this weekend - can't wait for it to get a little chilly :)

I feel your pain - taking self portraits are difficult... give your photographer a congrats too - Rose did a great job!

BLINDING orange.

The wristers look great. What was the fiber?

Only one UFO? Wow! I like the wristers, but like Marianne (wherever she is) it's still a little too warm here -- 91F forecast for today. Does Rose get her own knitted socks for the Chucks?

Dude...look at you sitting there dressed in long pants and long sleeved T-shirt..I am so envious. I think we had our first morning with temps in the 60s (F) since last...early Spring...but it's 84F in the shade and the temp is climbing.
Love the wristers and the socks and those indoor sneakers are too cool.
I like that orange.
Have a great weekend!

That is just about the right amount of orange :-)

I've heard that Lewiscraft at Carlingwood has become yarn clearance centre - I keep meaning to check it out.

The mitts look great! Well, so do the socks and shoes. LOL! Lewiscraft? I thought they'd all closed down already.
