Not exactly knitting

| | Comments (3)

Beginning in late February my younger daughter and I took a beginner sewing class in which the class project was a tote bag. As every knitter knows, you can't have too many bags, so I figured this would at least force me to learn to use my new sewing machine and as a reward I would have a new bag. With chickens!

See? I made it all by myself! It has a zipper and it's lined and it holds knitting.

The knitting? It was the first Bird of Paradise sock, long since finished (but no mate yet). I don't seem to have a photo. Oh well, it can wait until the second one is finished.

Very nice! Where did you take the class? I've been thinking of taking a sewing class as well.
