Everybody Wins!
Have you visited the Yarn Harlot today? I'll bet you have. But chances are you didn't see my comment (scroll down, way down). So here's the deal.
I think generous knitters deserve generous prizes (TBD), but to have prizes there has to be a game, right? So take a wild guess at how much you think knitters will have donated to MSF as of midnight EST December 31, 2006, and send me an email with your guess. Send it to hiredhands DOT ca AT gmail DOT com.
Now, I know this blog doesn't get much traffic, so if some of you more popular bloggers would get the word out that would be great. Oh, and if someone could let Stephanie know (yes, I did email her but who knows when she will see that) it would be good if she could not update the total again until after the contest closes (i.e. midnight EST December 31, 2006).

See? This is a red scarf. Sorry Norma, but this one was for my Dad. I really liked the yarn though. It was Caron Simply Soft Shadows, colour 0004 Autumn. If they've restocked I'll get some more and make one for the orphans too.

I'm sending a guess in, but a total probably won't get up, even for the 31st deadline for a few days afterward...and although she doesn't have *all* that holiday knitting to do she still had a bit, but hey, knowing her she's already gotten through it, still I think as of yesterday she was still working on emails that had been sent on the 19th!

The scarf looks beautiful. Caron simply soft is a very soft yarn, perfect for a scarf.
