So where was I?

Oh yeah. What I did last week. Well, much of it had nothing to do with knitting but was fun anyway.

I bought an Aeropress. It makes the best coffee ever. Every chemist should have one. Even if they don't drink coffee they can use it to make coffee for other people. It is way more cool than any old drip coffee maker or even fancy espresso machines. And it makes better coffee at a fraction of the price of those fancy machines.

I made pickles. Dill pickles and pickled garlic (requested by Middle Child). The garlic have turned a lovely shade of blue which I unfortunately cannot show you because said child has stashed them in her locker at school.

The large bouquet of dill that was purchased to make said pickles and garlic was very photogenic in its own right.

I started my scarf for ISE 3. Here is a picture of the yarn I am using, but there will be no pics of the scarf until it is done and mailed because I accidentally revealed my true identity to my giftee.

.

Um, I also bought a little Wacom tablet. The pen makes it easy to apply cool Photoshop effects for no particular reason.

One last bit for tonight - superwash Kona Merino sock yarn from Perchance to Knit. So soft. It looks and feels very much like the Fleece Artist merino that I love so well. Note the hand-made (by Susie herself) little stitch markers attached to the tags.

I purchased the silver/black/grey one not long ago. It is called "Into the Neutral Zone". The yellow/orange/red one ("Heart of the Sunrise") was a prize! You can read about it here. Thanks Kate! Thanks Susie!

This accumulation of sock yarn has made me think of joining this. If there is someone out there who is also interested, I could use a cabin buddy.

Which reminds me (will this post never end?), I am planning to drive down to Rhinebeck. Anybody interested in sharing the drive?

The colours in your ISE scarf yarn are absolutely fabulous. Would it be possible to let me know what the yarn and colourway is, as I've been looking everywhere for just this colour combination.

I would love to go to Rhinebeck, but unfortunately the timing doesn't work for me. But keep me in mind for next year - perhaps we could drive down together.

That ISE yarn is truly lovely. When I saw you post about it on the ISE blog, I hoped it would be for me - which I figured wasn't very likely since that wouldn't be much of an "international" exchange!
