September 2006 Archives
Oh yeah. What I did last week. Well, much of it had nothing to do with knitting but was fun anyway.
I bought an Aeropress. It makes the best coffee ever. Every chemist should have one. Even if they don't drink coffee they can use it to make coffee for other people. It is way more cool than any old drip coffee maker or even fancy espresso machines. And it makes better coffee at a fraction of the price of those fancy machines.
I made pickles. Dill pickles and pickled garlic (requested by Middle Child). The garlic have turned a lovely shade of blue which I unfortunately cannot show you because said child has stashed them in her locker at school.
The large bouquet of dill that was purchased to make said pickles and garlic was very photogenic in its own right.
Twelve days since I last posted. What have I been up to? I've been enjoying my last week of annual leave, doing many of the mostly mundane things that don't get done unless I'm going to be home for more than two days in a row. It will take me more than one post to catch you up on everything even if I just stick to the knitting-related stuff. And I'm making no such promise, but please, read on. Okay, okay here's a picture to entice you.
