Manos a Manos

| | Comments (1)

I've just come from Dave's blog, where he posted pics of his freshly knit scarf in Manos del Uruguay color 102. I commented that it looked familiar. I was right.

But just to be sure, I did some digging in the drawer that I keep all my old ball bands and labels in (um, yeah). And I found this. Hah!

Digging around in my old blog image files I found these.

unfelted basket felted basket

Unfelted and felted, this is a Moebius Basket made from one skein of Manos. The ruler is 15 cm (6 in) long. You can find the pattern in A Second Treasury of Magical Knitting by Cat Bordhi. The Manos felted beautifully to a really dense and interesting nubbly texture in just one short wash cycle.

Oh, and again thanks to Dave I had fun making this:

Very cool, and that basket looks wonderful! I'm glad you enjoyed the dishcloth -- I love the colours, but I'm always a sucker for blue and brown :-)
