The games began, the games ended, and I came very close, but no gold medal. That's okay. As soon as I have time to block the vest and put in a zipper I'll post a picture. It turned out really well. Both the vest and I survived the cutting of the steeks. Thanks are due to my son Ben for moral support during the machine stitching phase.
There has been other knitting before and since the Knitting Olympics: felted baskets, hats, and a shrug have been completed, and a cotton baby blanket is nearly done - just working on the I-cord bind off. Pictures of all as soon as I have a chance to Photoshop them to size and post them.
